Jo Taylor

Over the last two decades Jo has developed her skills as a textile artist. Influenced by her Grandmother’s tutelage as a youg girl and using silk and batik fabrics with vibrant colours, sourced from all over the world she blends them into colourful abstract works of art. Confronted by how best to sell her work Jo’s entrepreneurial vision led her to identify a gap in the market for the whole range of works of art which she believed could be filled by the establishment of an on-line art gallery and in 2011 the Creative Arts Gallery was launched.  Alongside the online gallery came a bespoke Framing and Gilding business providing framing services for recognised artists wfor exhibitions in Galleries in London and Edinburgh and beyond. In essence her career has gone full circle from businesswoman to textile artist and now back to businesswoman.  At the onset of the pandemic and the closure of all non-essential business the gallery and workshop were closed.

Jo is now embarking on an exciting new project to promote the work of individuals and companies through Tamaris Bespoke creating a Directory listing luxury bespoke products and services and most importantly creating a direct link between buyers and sellers.
